About Dr. Joshua Toll

Treatment Philosophy:

Achieving better health begins with a genuine commitment to your well-being. I am here to guide you on your journey toward a healthier, longer, and higher-quality life. The desire to make lasting change must come from within, and I will support you every step of the way, meeting you where you are and working alongside you to help you achieve your goals.

I firmly believe that healthcare is a service-oriented profession, and I am dedicated to providing a high level of care and personalized attention to every patient. Healthcare blends both art and science—where the art lies in building strong communication and trust with my patients, and the science involves the continual application of evidence-based practices.

As part of my commitment to your health, I prioritize lifelong learning, ensuring that I stay at the forefront of the latest advancements and standards of care. You can count on me to be approachable, skilled, and accessible as we work together to improve your health.

Professional Journey:

I graduated as valedictorian from a large high school in suburban Philadelphia before earning my degree in Human Biology, Health, and Society from Cornell University. Following college, I worked in emergency medical services (EMS) for a year, gaining valuable hands-on experience before pursuing medical school at Temple University School of Medicine.

I found my calling in Family Medicine, drawn to the holistic approach of treating the whole patient, focusing on disease prevention, and enhancing quality of life. After completing my residency in Family Medicine, I began my career at York Hospital in Maine, where I provided both inpatient and outpatient care. Over time, I decided to focus exclusively on outpatient care and joined Dartmouth-Hitchcock, where I practiced from 2015 to 2023.

In 2023, I relocated to Manchester, NH with my partner and now provide primary care in a private practice setting. I am dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to my patients and am passionate about fostering long-term health and wellness.

Professional Certifications:

Board Certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine

When I’m not treating patients, I enjoy:

Living with my significant other and raising our sons.  Introducing them to science, sports, and games.  Watching them grow and surpass me.
